A fiber optic fusion splicer is a device that uses an electric arc to melt two optical fibers together at their end faces, to form a single long fiber. The device costs at our company costs $2000.00 and the worker will look into a magnified screen and combine different color of fiber according to customer specifications. The worker will then take the appropriate fibers and enclose them in cases where the fibers are crossed, looped and/or arranged according to specifications so that the wires terminate in proper locations for additional line connections.
