Banquet Server

The role of the Banquet Server is to take orders from patrons for food or beverages, set up, execute, and break down event spaces according to expectations. In regard to "set up, execute, and break down event spaces according to expectations", the Banquet Server will work with other staff to set up tables by adding decorations, napkins, utensils and glassware by hand in designated meeting and wedding spaces on the property/ranch. At the end of meetings or weddings, the Banquet Server will work with other staff to break down event spaces by removing decorations, napkins utensils and glassware by hand. The equipment that the Banquet Server will use are trays for utensils and glassware and carts with wheels for tables and chairs; Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Collect payments from customers. Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to kitchen for cleaning.
