Field Labor Assistant

Duties may include: Work in and around empty pools to provide assistance to craft workers, such as plasterers or masons. Move building materials or tools to the appropriate locations. Clean or prepare tools and work sites to eliminate possible hazards such as by grinding or scraping pool walls, gathering and moving debris with a shovel, wheel barrow, or buckets, or scrubbing pool walls with brooms. Spray water, using water hoses and pressure washers to clean surfaces. Assist with Mixing, pouring, or spreading mortar or cementitious material, using drill mixers. Brush, or spread paints, cleaning solutions, or other compounds over surfaces to clean them or to provide protection. Dig holes, trenches, & backfill, or compact and level earth to project specifications as required for PVC water lines and conduits. Operate chipping hammers to break up concrete, pool plaster, or mortar. Tend electric, & gas-powered water pumps and compressors to remove water from pools, spas, and fountains prior to preparation. Lubricate, clean, and maintain equipment and tools to keep a safe and tidy work environment & other related Field Labor Assistant activities as per SOC/OES 47-2061 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00AM-4:00PM. Offering 36+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend/holiday work.
