Landscape Crew Leader Trainee

** The workers will be working on outdoor residential yards performing the installation of exterior plant material, mulch, and other landscape materials at Bachman's customer's homes. The tools/techniques utilized for the job are of a wide variety of hand-tools including shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows. Small and medium excavation equipment like tracked skid loaders and sod strippers. Utilizing shovels to plant nursery plant materials at customer's residence and installing mulch to complete residential projects utilizing wheelbarrows and rakes. The equipment and materials used will be everything from an 18" wide gas-powered sod stripper to a 3,000 lb. Tracked skid loader. At times employees will operate gas powered concrete saws and chainsaws when required. ** Communicate with designers, customers and supervisors to efficiently install quality projects from start to finish. Provide work direction for a crew of 1 to 5 crew members on landscaping projects. Lay out landscape projects for installation according to material lists and designer plans. Safely load trucks and trailers with materials and transport them with the crew to the worksite; instruct and train crew members in proper product installation/maintenance techniques to assure bachmans quality standards are maintained. Perform job duties at projects in the Twin Cities and surrounding counties. May perform other job duties pursuant to 37-1012, First-Line Supervisors of Landscaping, Lawn, and Groundskeeping.
