Landscape Laborer

Duties may include: Care for established lawns by mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, fertilizing, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, litter, leaves and debris. Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to lay sod, sow grass, or plant bulbs, flowers, foliage, ground cover, shrubs, and trees. Haul or spread topsoil, or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place. Prune or trim trees, shrubs, foliage and deadhead flowers. Maintain and adjust sprinkler systems, to ensure proper amount of water consumption and to prevent waste. Install planters, rock gardens, drainage and sprinkler systems, mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units for landscaping purposes. Provide proper upkeep to flower beds, sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots, including shoveling snow and spreading salt. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows or pruning shears and pruning saws. May operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as work trucks with small utility trailers, mowers, trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers & other related Landscape Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 37-3011 (onetonline.org). Standard/Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM. Offering 40+ (plus) hours per week; not including applicable lunch and/or breaks. Possible weekend work.
