Saw Machine Operator

Set up, operate, or tend wood sawing machines. May operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment. Inspect and measure workpieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts. Guide workpieces against saws or operate automatic feeding devices to guide cuts. Monitor sawing machines to ensure cutting properly, adjusting speed and tension and clearing jams to ensure proper operation. Lubricate or clean machines, using wrenches, grease guns, or solvents. Adjust bolts, clamps, stops, guides, or table using hand tools. Unclamp and remove finished workpieces from tables and stack on cart. Clean work area and dispose of waste material.
