Receiving Agent

Inventory is counted, weighed, and recorded in the correct sheets in the stores and cost center. Inventory items include food along with receiving dry goods such as paper products, cups, lids, napkins, chemicals, cleaning supplies, and specialty items ordered for the Food & Beverage department. When inventory is received, the storeroom team delivers those items to the proper departments. Receiving Agents do not perform any distribution or placement of inventory. Receiving Agents receive goods and check them against the order/invoice. This involves checking the quality and proper receiving temperatures on all items delivered against all orders and invoices. Items are inspected/checked for quality and condition and then distributed to refrigerators, freezers, and the dry storage area, both in the hotel and remote storage. Receiving Agents will utilize scales (to check weights against invoices), thermometers (both digital and infrared) to assure proper temperatures for food safety, flatbed carts, and hand trucks to move food cases, box cutters, cleaning and sanitizing supplies. Receiving Agents will be responsible for receiving, classifying, storing, distributing and taking inventory of food and beverage, materials, supplies and equipment, assisting in the maintenance of perpetual inventories, preparing requisitions for stock replacement, loading and unloading at the point of pick-up, delivery or distribution when necessary, packing, unpacking, counting, weighing, and measuri
