Janitor

Janitors will be responsible for keeping buildings in clean and orderly condition, performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace and boiler, performing routine maintenance activities such as resetting safes and changing door lock batteries, notifying management of need for repairs, occasionally cleaning public restrooms, watering plants and flowers, cleaning the pool and pool area, and clearing snow or debris from grounds, including raking leaves. May help with the set up and breakdown of events – this includes arranging tables, chairs, dance floor and stage. May also be asked to move furniture and small appliances, unload boxes, and carry luggage. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm, 3:00pm to 10:00pm, or 12:00pm to 7:00pm. Shift hours may vary.
