LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

Laundry Attendant: • 5 openings. Employer will offer a minimum of 35hrs/wk. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain or drought may affect working hours. Example of scheduled shifts: 7a-3p & 3p-11p. • Wage: $18.00/HR., based on merit and experience. Overtime hours over 40 hours/WK, if available is paid at 1.5 times the base rate at $27.00/HR. • Additional compensation such as raises and bonus may be available based on individual factors including, tenure, experience/skills and work performance. Job Duties: • Operate, load, unload or tend ironers, folders, washing machines or drying machines to wash, dry, or fold hotel articles, such as sheets, towels, uniforms, comforters, blankets, draperies, linens, rugs and any other articles necessary. Includes spotters and dryers of these articles. • Iron or press articles, fabrics and other items by using hand irons or pressing machines. • Restock carts and/or closets. • Regulate machine process and the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, starch and other additives. • Sort incoming articles or articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap or hang them as necessary. Inspect articles for defects, damage, or stains. • Frequent bending and lifting – ability to lift 50 lbs. • Ability to stand for long periods of time • May need to work in hot and cold environments.
