Cook: • 8 openings. Employer will offer a minimum of 35hrs/wk. Employer may offer more than the stated work hours depending on weather, business needs and other conditions. Extreme heat, cold, rain or drought may affect working hours. Example of scheduled shifts: 7a-2p & 3p-10p. • Wage: $20.43-$23.00/HR., based on merit and experience. Overtime hours over 40 hours/WK, if available is paid at 1.5 times the base rate at $30.65-$34.50/HR. • Additional compensation such as raises and bonus may be available based on individual factors including, tenure, experience/skills and work performance. Job Duties: • Cook food over heat & prepare dishes in a restaurant in a sanitary & timely manner. Will cook on the line, prepare sauces & soups. Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, rotating stock, taking inventory & restock items as needed throughout shift. Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Assists with cleaning, sanitation and organizing of kitchen, walk-in coolers & all storage areas. Sets up, cleans & maintains station in time for service. • Ability to learn & read new menus and follow recipes, portion controls & presentation specifications. Other Conditions / Special requirement • Pay bi-weekly. • Friday through Thursday, scheduled shift and workdays vary. Rotate/split shifts. • Weekends & holidays are required • Min. 1 month hot
