General Laborer

General Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction/job site. Their duties include loading and unloading tools or raw materials, assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment and digging or filling in pits throughout the construction process. The duties and responsibilities of a General Laborer are all geared toward maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while also supporting the overall project. The list of duties and responsibilities for a General Laborer on any given day may include the following: - Cleaning and preparing construction sites - Loading and unloading materials and equipment - Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures - Digging trenches, compacting earth, and backfilling holes - Operating and tending machinery and heavy equipment - Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans - Assisting skilled tradespeople (Painters, Sandblasters, Mechanics) in their duties General laborers may operate pressure washers. Pressure washers are portable, have wheels and weigh around 200 lbs. They are 5,000 psi, electric powered units. Pressure washers are used for cleaning equipment, surface, and maintaining safety standards. For laborers certified in forklift operations, they will have the opportunity to drive forklifts. There is a 10,000 lb. Skytrak model 5510A, a 5,000 lb. reach forklift Genie model 5510, an 8-ton 4 outlet sandblast pot that remains
