Home Health Aide

Provide routine individualized health care and assistance to the patient in her household. Duties include assisting the patient with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene; changing bed linens; cleaning and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment; and performing light household tasks such as laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation according to prescribed diets. Monitor and record patient condition, progress, and behavior; report observations to family members, nurses, or physicians; and administer prescribed oral medications under the written direction of a physician. Provide companionship and emotional support, engage patients in conversation or reading activities to promote mental well-being, and accompany clients to medical appointments or errands.
