Clarification of Job Duties – Synthetic Grass Installer Employees will landscape or maintain grounds of residential and commercial properties using hand and power tools. Duties include preparing outdoor surfaces for synthetic grass installation, installing edging, and maintaining site cleanliness. Tools and Equipment Used: Workers will use shovels, rakes, brooms, wheelbarrows, hand tampers, compactors, utility knives, levels, measuring tape, and power tools such as sod cutters and plate compactors. Workers may also use hand-held blowers and basic trenching tools. Excavating Description: Excavation refers to manual digging and ground preparation up to 4 inches deep to remove existing soil, sod, or debris. Workers use shovels and hand tools to remove materials and level the base. No heavy construction equipment or grading machinery is used. Projects Include: Synthetic grass installation for lawns, pet areas, patios, and playgrounds. Projects include removing natural grass or debris, compacting the soil, applying a layer of crushed rock, leveling the surface, and laying synthetic grass.
