Catering and Event Assistant

** Setting up and breaking down catering event spaces" - this consists of setting tables with linen and decorative items for the events (flowers, centerpieces, and small themed decorative items) and the subsequent removal of these items. No tools, equipment, or materials (other than those already mentioned) are used. "Assisting members and staff with special food/beverage related requests during banquets" - this consists of responding to questions from guests about the details/schedule of the event. No tools, equipment, or materials are used. ** Catering and Event Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage Department with administrative tasks, banquet setup, and food and beverage service during banquets. This includes communicating with banquet vendors to confirm goods/services will be provided, communicating with members to confirm event attendance, setting up and breaking down catering event spaces, greeting and serving food and beverages to members and guests, assisting members and staff with special food/beverage related requests during banquets, and performing administrative-related tasks in connection with banquets, such as data entry and generating reports. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on any day of the week from Monday through Sunday.
