Auto Shop General Support Worker

Workers will perform temporary, non-professional, support services in an automotive service and repair facility. Duties include assisting the Production Manager and licensed technicians with routine operational and maintenance activities necessary for daily shop operations. Workers will prepare work areas; clean and organize tools, equipment, and shop spaces; wash and prepare vehicles for service; transport parts and materials; load and unload supplies; and maintain overall shop cleanliness and organization. Workers will assist with surface preparation and finishing support tasks under supervision, including washing, masking, sanding, buffing, polishing, cleaning, and related preparation activities. Workers will clean and maintain work areas, shop facilities, and equipment, including cleaning spray equipment and maintaining paint booth cleanliness, as directed by supervisory staff. Workers will follow all workplace safety procedures, including the proper handling of cleaning materials, paints, chemicals, tools, and equipment, and will use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Workers will assist with basic vehicle service and maintenance support functions such as tire rotations, oil changes, parts handling, vehicle movement within the facility, and general shop support activities as directed.
