Construction Laborer

As construction laborers, the workers will perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying, and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. The workers will be operating heavy equipment such as motor scrapers, soil compactors, bulldozers, backhoes, skid loaders, and shovels. The worker will unload materials, lay out lumber, tin sheets and siding, trusses, and other components for building structures. The workers will build and erect walls and trusses, lift tin sheets and siding to roofs and walls, and install doors, and caulk structures. The workers will clean and prepare sites, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials. The workers will also lubricate, clean, or repair machinery, equipment, or tools. Use hand and power tools including shovels, hammers, utility knives, drills, saws, air compressors, pneumatic tools, compactors, cement mixers, laser levels, measuring tapes, and small mechanical hoists. Tools will be used to measure and mark layouts, prepare foundations, mix and place concrete, compact soil, cut and install materials, lift and position materials, and assist in assembling structural components.
