EHV A Lineworker - Transmission (680309.000167)

This is a highly skilled position in the construction, maintenance, and repair of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage (EHV) electrical transmission systems, including systems operating at 400kV and above. Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of energized and de-energized transmission and EHV transmission systems, including 400kV+ circuits. Capable of coaching crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge on transmission and EHV projects. Stringing overhead conductor, including bundled conductors used on EHV transmission lines. Setting lattice towers, poles, structures, foundations, and anchors for high-voltage and EHV systems. Troubleshooting problems on transmission and EHV transmission systems. Frequently works with energized high-voltage and extra-high-voltage systems requiring advanced skill, precision, and strict adherence to safety procedures to protect the lives of themselves and others. Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order. Glove, hot stick, and/or bare-hand work on high-voltage and EHV transmission lines, as qualified. Identify transmission primary and secondary voltages on standard and EHV circuits. Obtain knowledge in bare hand work and of hot stick work on energized high-voltage and EHV lines. Understanding and reading blueprints, structure drawings, and EHV construction plans. Properly sag conductor, including long-span and high-tension EHV sagging operations. Coaching crew in assembl
